Printing to a Compaq 1400P Printer May Cause an Error Message in Windows XP

When you try to print to a Compaq 1400P printer, you may receive an error message that is similar to:
spoolsv.exe has caused and error and must be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

This issue occurs because the Compaq driver for the 1400P printer is not completely compatible with Windows XP.
